Katy Perry may be all about the glitz and glamour these days, but back when the “Dark Horse” singer was a young teen, she was just as gawky as the rest of us.
The 31-year-old pop songstress shared a throwback photo via Instagram on Friday, Nov. 27, and proved she had a good sense of humor about the endearingly awkward family photo.
“When ur face is desperate for likes,” she captioned the shot, in which she and her siblings, David and Angela Hudson, and mom Mary Hudson all wear matching red holiday outfits, while her dad, Evangelical pastor Keith Hudson, dons a festive black-and-white sweater and bolo tie.
Their family dog sits at Perry’s feet, staring just slightly off-camera, but with dignity.
The pop star and Santa Barbara, Calif., native also shared a sweet video clip that same day, of her 94-year-old grandmother Ann wishing fans a happy Thanksgiving.
“Grandma, say ‘Happy Thanksgiving,’” she instructs her adorable grandmother, who instantly lights up with a smile.
“Happy Thanksgiving! Yipee!” her white-haired grandmother says into the camera.
“I’m thankful for good [jeans],” Perry captioned the video.
